Thank you to all of you who stopped by our booth at Prescott Daze. We had a great time talking about the future of Coulee River Trails and Pine Coulee with our partner Landmark Conservancy. Landmark is leading the effort to raise the matching funds that will release the Knowles-Nelson grant from Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources. With your help, we will be able to purchase a 76-acre property known locally as Pine Coulee.
Our goals are to make the property available to the community, protect the ecological resources while improving visitor access through select infrastructure investment, and continue to develop planned trail connections to the overall Coulee River Trails system. To be successful in this acquisition, Landmark Conservancy needs to raise just shy of a million dollars, and we’re halfway there. We hope you will join us in protecting this unique land for people of all ages to enjoy.
